'Beverley’s Dream' Orienpet Lily grows tall, and can be planted in groups at the back of border for dramatic height and color. The flowers are multi-color with a pure white outline, intense red stars and combination of yellow and green at the center. These fragrant lilies are delightful beneath a window or near a patio where their perfume can be enjoyed. Makes a lovely addition to mixed perennial borders and cottage style gardens. Plants bloom mid-summer on sturdy stems each bearing numerous blooms. Harvest lilies for cut flowers when the buds just begin to open. Be sure to snip off the anthers extending from the center of the bloom as these can drop pollen that stains table clothes. Do not remove more than one-third of the stem when cutting as plants need energy produced by the foliage to replenish bulbs for next season. Plants tolerate heat and humidity and are drought tolerant. Provide rich, well-drained soils and plenty of sun.
